Vision's P-61 Black Widow
Look at this incredible P-61 Black Widow from Advanced Model Systems built and flown by Vision Hobbies, powered by two STORM 4250-600 motors. This is an 80" wingspan airplane equipped with air retracts and weighs 14 lbs. The only time full throttle was used was on takeoff. Normal flight, including rolls, loops and other maneuvers were done at 1/2 throttle! This is on only 4S 14.4V lithium polymer packs pulling only 33 amps at full throttle turning APC 13 x 6.5 E props. This proves our point that STORM motors are incredibly powerful and efficient! Spectators and experienced flyers marveled at the fact that such small motors flew such a large airplane ... Electric R/C Flight Products
Our exclusive product line includes inrunner and outrunner brushless motorsspeed controllers, servos, and accessories such as motor mounts and prop adapters. Our motor numbering system tells you the physical outside dimensions of the motor. On a 2826-1000 STORM outrunner, for example, the first number is the outside diameter (28mm). The second number is the length of the motor (26mm) and the third number is the RPM per volt or, KV. The inrunner motors are numbered with the diameter first, length second, and number of winds last. At last you will know with our numbering system whether or not the motor will physically fit in your airplane! No more confusing numbers such as those used by other electric motor manufacturers. We are doing our best to decrease the confusion associated with electric flight!

SERVO ALERT!
We have learned that some people are having difficulties with our High Torque, Super Torque and Mega Torque servos when using Futaba receivers. This puzzled us greatly as they are rock solid with Hitec, JR, and Airtronics receivers. After consulting with Tony Stillman of Radio South, it was determined that the Futaba receivers are very low 'amplitude' and do not produce enough signal for our servos to react to correctly. We are working with our production engineers to reduce the required amplitude of our servos. In the meantime, we regrettably do not recommend the use of our servos with Futaba receivers. We also do not recommend our Super Torque and Mega Torque servos for precision aerobatics. They work great and center great but they have a millisecond 'bounce' around center. Great for giant scale, sport flying, and any other use. They make GREAT car and boat servos! Replace those old HUGE servos with the MG995!
